Violent Halloween night in Portland

Portland Police were called to shots fired at 1:38 a.m. near Southeast 124th and Powell Court.  As officers were arriving, they followed a suspicious vehicle that crashed and the suspects ran into the neighborhood.

At the scene of the shooting, police found one person dead.

Police spent several hours search the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood.

There was also a shooting on Southeast Division at the I-205 off ramp.  Police found no suspects or victims at the scene of the shooting.

At 2:55 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to Legacy Emanuel Hospital on the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. North Precinct officers are investigating that incident and it is not clear if it is related to either of the two reported shootings in East Precinct.

At 3:33 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to Portland Adventist Medical Center on the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. East Precinct officers are investigating that incident and it is not clear if it is related to either of the two reported shootings in East Precinct.

Police are also investigating a stabbing at a Halloween party in the 6100 block of North Lombard.  Two women suffered non-life threatening stab wounds.  A suspect was taken into custody.
