Beavers Clinch Pac-12 Baseball Title

Andrew Moore pitched his second consecutive complete game shutout and Dylan Davis homered and drove in all four runs as Oregon State beat Washington State 4-0 to clinch at least a share of the Pac-12 baseball championship.

Davis singled in a run in the first and blasted a 3-run homer in the seventh to account for all of the game's scoring.

Moore, the reigning Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week after blanking Oregon on two hits a week ago, shutout the Cougars on six hits.  He struck out seven. Moore improved to 12-1 for the year while lowering his ERA to 1.22.

A record crowd of 3417 saw the Beavers (44-10, 23-6) clinch their first Pac-12 baseball title since 2006. They will earn the title outright if Oregon loses either this afternoon or tomorrow at Utah or if OSU beats WSU in the regular-season finale tomorrow afternoon in Corvallis.

Game time Sunday is 12:05 p.m. Radio coverage begins on Fox Sports Radio 620 at 11:30 a.m.

For the first time since the Conference became the Pac-8 in 1968, Oregon State earned conference championships in three sports.  OSU also won Pac-12 titles in gymnastics and wrestling.
